Trust is the basis for everything, so on Thanksgiving Day, November 26th 2009 I decided to commit 1000 days of my life to studying it. Think about your biggest successes and your biggest failures… if you take a few seconds to notice the role trust played in those experiences, I’ll bet you will find it was significant. Much of our success is based on how much we trust or don’t trust ourselves. When I realized just how important trust was in my life, I decided there was nothing better I could do then to focus on it, hence the launch of the tour. Let me be clear, I am not holding myself up to be better at trust than anyone else. I am observing my own successes and failures as well as others. As I learn, I am documenting these experiences and posting them on the blog. Every day at 1:20 in the afternoon I will post a story, a thought, an interview or a poll on trust. I know that sounds a little crazy but since we are on the Trust Tour, lets start our relationship with honesty, I am a little bit “different”.
This commitment means I will need to document 1000 trust experiences before the end of the tour. The Trust Tour ends August 22nd 2012 at 1:20 PM (the date and time of my 50th birthday – we are dealing with a big ego here). Along the way I hope to inspire individuals, corporations, governments, teachers and students to raise the bar on trust and revolution the way we live our lives. To build trust you have to take a risk and I am willing to take that risk myself. I am asking you to take a small risk and join me so that together we might make a difference.
A little bit about me, I am the author of Trust, How to put “it” back in business. If any of my grammer school teachers read this they will probably go into deep shock. My brother Glen and I co-founded Charter Partners, a company which uses Cooperative Entrepreneurship to organize 100’s of entrepreneurs into creative teams. It might help to think of it as a co-op for the entrepreneurial mind. I founded the Charter Partners Institute and WINGS , these hands-on learning experiences have taught 1000’s of high school and college students the concept of Cooperative Entrepreneurship. I am also a co-owner of Charter Farms a retreat in eastern Pennsylvania and I co-created Bizeco.com, a website that helps connects senior and junior entrepreneurs, again using Cooperative Entrepreneurship. I enjoy making video shorts, hiking and flying helicopters (the real ones). Most of all I love people, especially when we share music, great stories, wine, food (I love this a little to much) and honest conversation. I live in Bethlehem Pennsylvania with my family.
See you on the tour!
