Marcus Cudd has been helping me me with the marketing of the Trust Tour. We have been thinking about the idea of having people make their own videos and sending them in… in-essence giving everyone the opportunity to create their own Trust Tour. I asked him to spend a day living and observing trust in his own life and then document it in a video. He was courageous enough to try it and became the first one to join the video Trust Tour, you can watch his video above.

(Day 236) Some Of My Own Medicine
The other day I had my own trust lesson. I was just completing an interview with Kenny Moore, the best-selling author of The CEO and the Monk We were conducting our interview at the First Presbyterian Church of Bloomfield in New Jersey. The church was near his home and a friend of mine had arranged for me to use their facility. The church secretary Marlene and I agreed I could use the Pastor’s office for about 1 hour. The interview was one of the best I’ve ever done, and Kenny and I hit it off pretty well, but we ended up going over the time limit. Marlene came into the room and the above video shares our exchange. Thank you Marlene for keep me honest!

(Day 232) Are You A Dolphin Or A Shark?
Above is a short video clip from Miami Seaquarium’s Robert Rose. He is speaking about the dolphins only natural predator, the shark. Sharks exhibit primitive behavior, focusing exclusively on survival. They are all about acquiring more for themselves, with little regard for anything or anyone else. They have developed keen instincts to do just that, always at someone else’s expense. It is a egocentric view of the world, similar to humans…
The dolphin, on the other hand, has more intelligent, playful, and social behaviors. They have learned to work together in pods. They use the collective intelligence of the team to eat, play and protect themselves. This same team protects them from sharks. They can out smart sharks collectively and have been known to ram the sharks with their noses, effectively clearing them out of their territory. It’s a community view of the world, similar to some humans…
The cool thing about being a human being is we get to choose our behavior. Do have the ability to behave like a shark or dolphin. If you think about people, you know you can probably put them into one of these two categories. We cannot control or change others behaviors, only our own, so I choose to be a dolphin. I choose it not only because it is right for me, but I believe our future depends on it. I can only hope enough people are making this same choice to keep us on the right track. That is why I am sharing this with you today, that is why I am on the Trust Tour and that is why I need your help.
