Jamie Green cuts the grass and keeps up the general maintenance at Charter Farms. He works hard, is reliable and is a pleasant person to be around. Recently he graduated from college and it was time for him to take a new job with more opportunity. We were sorry to see him leave but happy to see him grow… until he came back from his first day of work with this story.

(Day 143) ET Trust
Here is another great video from TED. When I watched it, it gave me the perspective of the whole… the whole universe. We look awful small from way out there. Maybe we should start thinking about sticking together. We are alone in this very, very big place or as Jill Tarter from SETI (Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence) tells us, there is a good chance that we are NOT alone.

(Day 140) Helicopter Trust
Most of you know I’m a helicopter pilot; click here for my blog on why I fly.
Recently I put my helicopter up for sale and in doing so I realize there are many friends who have not yet had the opportunity to fly. I cannot sell it without giving you a chance to have this amazing experience. So, I am going to set aside some time to take you for a flight over the Lehigh Valley.
The flight is FREE for a PAY IT FORWARD story… it’s simple, all you need is an idea of something you can do for someone else.
My video invitation is below. First available time to fly is from 9:00 to 12:00 on Sunday May 22nd. You can use the comment section below sign up. I will email you a confirmation and more specifics. Trust me .. it is awesome!

(Day 136) Suicide and Trust
Today I went for a bike ride with my brother and partner Glen Welch. During the ride we started talking about a suicide that took place at my condo association in Florida last Sunday. A older man, who apparently was dealing with financial and medical problems jumped from the 21 floor. This hit home because he was only two floors higher and directly above my unit. This event is very sad and left a dark cloud behind. I can’t imagine what his wife and family must be experiencing. Glen started talking about why people do this and if there is a way to prevent it in the future. He has more experience than I do on this topic; he lost a member of his extended family to suicide. He has also been on the board of a non-profit mental health center for many years. Here is our conversation about how keeping the bigger picture in mind keeps us mentally healthy.

(Day 135) Dog Trust
My dog Nicky has become my side kick. I try to take him with me whenever I can. He loves to go, and do, and see, and be part of the days events. I enjoy having him around. He is happy, trustworthy, loyal and patient, all the traits you could want in a good relationship. There is something special about mans best friend, and today I honor that relationship.
