Last night Anne Baum invited me to be a guest speaker at her DeSales University MBA class. Toward the end of what I thought was a great session, a student asked me how I was planning on rolling out the Trust Tour? My mind had a flash of anxiety as I thought about all the work that lay ahead. I am not satisfied with the pace of presentations and interviews but instead of being overly honest about that, I answered, ”I am planning to use the media and blogging to get my message out.” Looking back on it, I missed an opportunity to get some help. Why not say, “I have a good start but could use some help getting connected to more speaking engagements and interviews?” There is a good chance he and others in the class are connected to resources that could be great additions for the tour. Moreover, based on how well the session was going some may have jumped at the chance to help. It’s time for more honesty! It’s time for Todd to take a page out of his own book. So I decided I would trust you to hear me answer that question again, the video below is my redo…

(Day 75) Do It Over
Comments
You delivered a great presentation last night and you have a tremendous grasp on “trust” and how to make it apparent not on in the work place, but in every day life. The towel is a great addition to help enforce trust in the work environment!
Todd, Thanks for sharing with our class. Your passion really comes through in when you speak about this topic. I can’t wait to discuss your book further. I think you’ve touch on a new level of systemic management. Cheers.
