For 30 years, a group of trusted friends and I have been playing football on Super Bowl Sunday. This is our story…

(Day 73) Our 30 Year Super Bowl Tradition
Comments
Todd,
That is a great tradition what you guys do on superbowl sunday. Looks like a lot of fun! I have also been getting together superbowl sunday for a long time with my old highschool and college soccer buddies to watch the game, but I can honestly say we don’t watch much of the game. It’s a great time to reconnect and see how everyone is doing, see how much the kids have grown and just keep the bond going.
This is great! It’s nice you guys still do this. After Glen’s injury sustained, I would suggest you guys start stretching before the game…especially now that you’re getting older LOL
What a great tradition! I moved away from where I grew up 4 years after I graduated from high school, but have maintained contact with a few friends, and now through facebook and a recent class reunion, I’ve reconnected with quite a few classmates. I always enjoy reconnecting with people from my past, and hope to nurture some of the recent reconnections into some deeper friendships.
It is amazing that I/we have participated in an annual event for 30 years! It seems as if only yesterday I thought any one over thirty was not trustworthy. I still see myself as a kid, yet today after playing in the annual game yesterday, I feel like I am 60. After viewing the video, I also noticed that I believe I have put on a pound or two for every year we have played. The tradition carries on, and I expect that it will for many more years. We definitely have “IT”.
